This album is a milestone of Dave Holland’s career as a leader-the forty year anniversary of his debut, free jazz album Conference of the Birds released in 1973. Dave Holland (born David Holland, 5 April 1948, Northampton) is an English rock drummer, best remembered for his stints with Trapeze from 1969 to 1979 and Judas Priest from 1979 to 1989. The album features a re-worked and expanded version of the quintet. Long-standing collaborator Robin Eubanks is kept on. Dave Holland Big Band members, Antonio Hart and Alex Sipiagin are also featured on this set. Rounding out the all-star rhythm section are Mulgrew Miller and Eric Harland.
