The jumps in rhythm, balanced by ultra-smooth production, have the effect of pouring pop rocks into your ears with a Coke chaser, which is something. A press release claimed Telepathetics were a big discovery for an over-the-hill English producer. When you hear that, you can expect a Radiohead rip off, and we get a good portion of that with Ambulance, though with a dash of garage band incompetence. Somehow, the little flaws, and especially the lyrics through highly mixed vocals, fully undo this record: There is no track that can be played twice. In fact, none that can be listened to all the way through.

The Telepathetics are a four piece rock outfit from Reykjavík, Iceland. The story of the Telepathetics begins back in 1993 when guitarist/vocalist Eyþór and drummer Andreas started playing together in bands at the tender age of 7. After going through frequent personnel changes (getting kicked out of a band is pretty easy when you're 9, apparantly) they were joined by guitarist Óttar and bassist/vocalist Hlynur in early 1999. In the summer of 2006 the band released their debut album entitled 'Ambulance'. This turned out to be a horrible decision as the boys got to experience, first hand some of the worst elements of the music industry (in the form of a pretty nasty distribution company) – and have yet to see a dime from album sales.
A bunch of girls (and one boy) in a fantasy RPG have to save the world. But really a healer takes pity on knight and an archer helping a technomage with a rogue as a childhood best friend, who use a summoner as a decoy, and get a necromancer to be normal. And something about mecha romance.
